Daily story, April 26, 2025

They woke on Sunday morning seeing through each other’s eyes. She thought she had gone blind, until her panicking woke him and she saw herself, sat up in bed. They spent the morning stumbling about, closing their eyes because being blind was easier, or else putting their heads together to get a view that almost made sense. It was months before they felt they functioned again. But on the Sunday their sight returned to the right eyes, it felt like a loss.
