When I was learning to shoe a horse… The thing about shoeing a horse is… One year, for her birthday, she tried it. They asked if she wanted to ride as well, but she was too frightened. She didn’t enjoy the shoeing much, either. But the talking about it—that was just as pleasurable as she had imagined.
